This library is used by the components Vitess_input and Vitess_output, as well as the mcstas2vitess utility. Both Vitess_input and Vitess_output have moved to the obsolete component category (see the Component Manual’s Obsolete chapter) and are kept only for backward compatibility; new instrument work should prefer the portable, multi-code MCPL format (MCPL_input/MCPL_output, see the Misc chapter) over Vitess-specific event files. Refer to these components for implementation examples, and ask the authors for more details.
